Q: Can you tell me about the group runs? A: We are learning that most runners are slightly intimidated by the thought of group running. Don't be! It does not matter what your pace is. At this time we are more focused on the social element of the group run than the technical. Our group simply gathers at a given location, many reoccurring while others vary on purpose; intermingles individual stretching, introductions and general conversations, while discussing running routes and awaiting additional runners. Runners then take off for varied distances and under varied paces but seem to naturally group up. As a more constant and reoccurring following forms more technically orientated runs will be developed.
Q: Can walkers join the club? A: Yes, the Seneca Lake RC welcomes all runners, joggers, walkers, etc ...
Q: What is in it for me? A: One of the most popular initial questions. The club is centered around building a community runners, so the question becomes ... what do you want from a running club? Join, contribute and help build our guild.
Q: Is the SLRC insured? A: Yes, we are fully insured. Current members are covered during all SLRC events. Our insurance also allows use assess and utilization of regional tracks, parks and other public facilities.
